HUME, Edward Fraser. (1943-2006). It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Edward Hume of Dollard des Ormeaux, on Friday, October 27, 2006 at his mother's home in St Lambert. He is survived by his beloved daughter Tracy (Marc), cherished grandchildren Stuart and Julia and his former wife Pat Verheij. He will be sadly missed by his devoted mother Melita (Ian-deceased), loving sisters and their spouses, Margaret (Tom-deceased), Heather (John), Laurel (Fred-deceased) and Vicki (Andy), nieces and nephews, Todd (Sara), Jordan (Jacinthe), Jennifer (Deano), Carl (Mary Ann), Dustin (Anita), Nat (Trina), Jeffrey and Lindsay as well as great-nieces and great-nephews Calvin, Logan, Brena, and Jaime and numerous other relatives. Edward, a graduate with distinction from McGill University, was a long time actuary at Prudential Assurance Co. (and later T.A. Associates), certified official for the Canadian and Quebec Track and Field Associations and referee for the Quebec Basketball Association. We would like to thank his dedicated nurses from the Pierrefonds and Samuel de Champlain CLSCs for their kindness. The family will receive condolences Wednesday, November 1, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Collins Clarke MacGillivray White Funeral Home, 307 Riverside Drive, St Lambert (514-483-1870) with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, if desired, donations in his memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
